favorite has to be hocus pocus hands down. then return to oz. I know it's not technically a halloween movie but shit scary af

I'm also starting to realize that halloween movies had a huge impact on my gayness as a child. my cousin and I would reenact the scene in hocus pocus where she turned thackery into a cat and we would take turns wearing fake nails and go full drag vibes. and then casper transforming into devon sawa awakened something deep in my soul.

I agree. Did the exact same things, and definitely had a major crush on Jay (the blonde bully) and Thackery. Daaaamn. Haha. I remember being young and still being like "..I want them..." Hah

pretty sure the girl from Don't Look Under the Bed was also on that MTV scripted show about young people having sex.

Undressed? I loved that show. I think every episode was a one-off though

I need this show to be available to stream somewhere! It was so enjoyably bad. I’m pretty sure that it was soap opera-ish and that several characters’ storylines would stretch into multiple episodes so you’d get invested and keep watching.

LOL my friends and I would play house and pretend to be married to the boys from Hocus Pocus. I preferred Omri, and my friend preferred Sean (aka, Thackery.) Anywho, Vinessa looks great.

I just watched Hocus Pocus for the first time a week ago. Which is weird because I was totally target age for it when it came out, so idk how I went this long.

It was cute, but definitely a blast from the past to see virginity being used as a plot point in a kids movie, lol. So very 90s.

I feel like the virginity plot was such a small piece of the story, tbh. I definitely might be biased because of my nostalgia goggles, but it didn't bug me that much. It was more like, "Listen when people warn you about stupid things." lol. I didn't even know what "virgin" was when I first saw the movie, so idk. I guess looking back at it, there were some themes that were slightly inappropriate for "young kids", considering it's a Disney movie. But to this day, I still don't mind that piece of it.
Definitely interesting to hear about it from someone who watched it as an adult for the first time, though! <3 Thanks for sharing!
