I said this on Omona already, but I listened to the Loona leak and it’s a surprisingly solid album except for Why Not which is catchy, but horrendous and doesn’t even go anywhere. Voice/Star on the other hand is one of their best ot12 songs and should’ve been the title.
I like Cool. It’s not a masterpiece but it’s inoffensive and the choreo is great.
Lol I’m not spending any money tbh, Spotify will have to do. I’m still considering the online concert tho, since I like most of the songs on the album.
Gotta say tho I’m iffy on hide and seek and oops, cause they sound like RV and Itzy tracks, respectively. But both would’ve been better as title than the mess that is Why Not (which had an ounce of potential and then chose a frankly confusing direction)
i really don't understand why anyone black would want to be an idol, the amount of antiblackness you'd have to deal with on a daily basis living in korea would not be worth it.
and after seeing how much a better dancer shotaro is compared to all the other idols really shows how much of a waste of time the idol training system is. it's people out here that trained for 5 years and they still suck at everything
I can see where you are going with your comment below the video. Like, yeah. Just like you all on the same page, I was hoping for some light shed on this and we only got a glimpse with BlackPink. It’s great that there’s diversity etc. I kept wondering if we would ever see a black Korean or Japanese or mixed both idol who’s born in Korea or Japan while hopefully building a good reputation/representation/relationship in Korea and/or Japan like within 2020s..... all of that without being called a hafu at it....
The issue with idol training is that they’re too focused on looking perfect that there’s no room for fun. Shotaro’s up there having a ball and you see other idols and they look so tense and stressed out that if they fuck up a move they’ll get murdered.
Korea is hard af on actual Koreans I can’t imagine the amount of pressure foriegn idols are under to be perfect and not say or do anything that could offend an entire country
I mean that aspect is not at least surprising at all since they pushed that for ages business wise and continue doing so it’s fucked up on ridiculous levels. It’s nothing but high-level battle royale competition full of blood, sweat and tears. Then someone be coming out on top of the world as the idol debuting to a wide success and stuff. They demanded the idols not to have literally everything that they cannot afford such distractions or even dating someone in the same field as you being a new idol and all. It’s very intimidating. Since it’s all business and taking nothing personal, I thought that was something manageable but like... you have to remember you are a human first and everybody makes mistakes lol.... So clearly there’s hypocrisy on the management’s part

But a little sad cause I want all the versions and my grown ass can’t be spending all this money on Kpop
