No word on it being on broadcast tv in the US? I have none of these services. I liked this book best of the first three so I would like to see this series.

It'll probably be aired on AMC/BBC America afterwards, but likely not for a few months.

I expect so, that is what they did with the first season. It did well on broadcast tv so hopefully it won't be too many months.

Maybe not, but it sounds like this time the subscription channels will air it week to week and they're owned by AMC, so AMC will probably wait until April-ish? idk.

Sundance Now usually offers a free trial, though.

This show is right up my alley and I was so sad when it turned out to be boring trash. You better believe I will be watching season 2 as soon as it comes out.

My friend described it best as, "I hate that this is my kind of trash."

Yay, finally a date! I had kind of hoped it would be released in December so I could watch it over Christmas, but it will be nice to have something to look forward to :)

Yeah, I was really hoping it would at least be out in 2020 but it is what it is. At lest they're filming Season 3 now so we should get it about a year later instead of like 3.

My pleasure! I also hope to recap it week to week again (if they are airing it week to week) but I'm literally due to give birth in mid-January so I'll be watching this show through a sleep-deprived stupor.

Ha. I worry about the effect of a horny Elizabethan show on a baby.

Finally!
I have to say, I'm a little worried about the time jump (I haven't read the books) but I'm ready to turn my brain off and watch this!

Personal snarky opinions, but the books start out somewhat interesting and a little corny and then head straight off the rails. The third one is a mess. So I'm mostly worried about how much the show was allowed to change/improve to make the story feel cohesive.

But it's not like any of it is high art, so I'll be watching regardless.

this is exactly how I feel. I kind of love how ridiculous it is, so I guess the time jump just kinda fits.
