this came out on VOD this week and i really liked it - it's really funny/weird/sweet/oddly emotional. katherine was really good in it. currently 100% on RT also.

Last night, we had a double feature:
The Boys in the Band: Remarkably similar to the Broadway version we saw a couple of years ago with the same cast, despite the format change. It felt like they cut some of the dialogue (not a bad thing), and I liked that we could see the flashback scenes they talk about, but it still felt very stage-y. Even so, I liked it better as a film, but idk if it's because it actually works better than way or if it's just that the actors just got more comfortable in their roles, or a combination of the two. Like, I thought ZQ was bad in the stage version, but he was a lot better in this one.
