Jessica Chastain can fuck off, those wikipedia demographics don't represent the country plus mestizo isn't white, there are white passing mestizos of course but they aren't the majority , go to Bogotá and you'll see tons and tons of diversity and still a spaniard it's not a Colombian, wtf, I would have been less mad without this bullshit explanation , white isn't the majority

Seriously, her and Penelope can fuck off , I'm sorry for Lupita but I hope this flops

I'm Colombian, and I think you're right. It sounds like this is precisely what she did. She clearly talking out of her ass

I remember Penelope Cruz played a brazilian in the Movie, Woman on Top. Unsurprised that Jessica Chastain thinks her playing a columbian spy was ok.

It's ok, they will hire (white-passing) Latino actors next time they need someone to play an Arab :)

Or to play a Middle-Eastern inspired planet's population.

Looking at you, Dune! Although even then they cast Javier Bardem.

Oscar Isaac played an Armenian in The Promise. Were there even any Armenians in that?

This is like GoT all over again. I remember the posts for the casting were a mess.

I am at the beginning of the book, is Oscar Isaac's character supposed to be middle-eastern? I thought he was supposed to be Spanish (both because of the casting and because of the matador reference when he talks about his father)
