it's crazy how easy it is for artists to debut at #1 these days, feels like it takes the shine a bit out of the #1. i feel like so many big artists release a single that debuts at #1 but then freefalls and has zero impact on pop culture. feels weird

i mean, this year alone like 8 or 9 songs have debuted at #1, i think? and prior to 2015 it was maybe 20 songs total that had done it in the history of billboard
