Yeah I dont know how that man is still alive and in one piece. He must be immortal or some shit haha

And I agree, Adele definitely deserves her success but Amy was just on a different level. She def wouldn't be running around with bantu knots.

Yeah they definitely pitted them against each other but I just wish she had more confidence in herself, she is definitely way more versatile with music and could scat and sing jazz like a pro. I always wondered if thats why gaga got into jazz, she was well aware of the comparisons but from what I recall, Amy didn't like her. But I dont know if those were just rumors.

I used to think Pete was so hot but then he just went to shit.

I hope she's resting in peace rn.

I think the post abt her passing is what made me finally want to join ontd. idk if i would go back to look at it tho out of fear that there are gross comments abt addicts.

I can't imagine what her fans who were in recovery at the time felt when she died. that must have been heartbreaking on another level.

Do any of yall have any sobriety anniversaries coming up that we can celebrate ?! If so, congrats. that shit isn't easy and yall don't get any meaningful support from society. just lots of cruelty.

In April 2021 I will celebrate 6 years of sobriety...I cannot even fathom how newly sober people are making it with no in-person AA or NA meetings, everything is virtual. In the beginning of my sobriety those in person meetings were crucial for me!

I just speak at one of the AA or NA meetings I attend. Then go out to dinner or something. Who knows if I will be able to do that in 2021!

I avoided any news etc. about her because it seemed so vicious and sad. I had no idea she was so young when she passed.

I'm still devastated about this. Its weird how life works, lots of great artists don't have physical longevity for some reason. Like I cant picture her or biggie alive in 2020, its like they belong to the past or something. I just wish she had recorded more music, even if it was just demos. I remember hearing that she had a shitload of unreleased songs, like ten years ago,, but where are they???

I wish she would've finished this song

I keep my fingers crossed that somehow her final works eventually come to light, it was rumored whatever existed was completely destroyed and only stuff from Frank/B2B eras will be released. I'd pay just to watch all the tapes Nick had of them goofing around and Amy humming random shit.

I wonder if they're just unable to master them and don't view them as profitable. But you'd think her dad would push for it since the proceeds could go to her foundation. If they really destroyed it that'd be a real shame. I remember reading she recorded a lot in st Lucia but nothing has ever leaked unfortunately.

Her death hit me hard. I don't have addiction issues but, I related to a lot of the feelings of loneliness and sadness that she expressed on her songs. Truly a one of a kind artist ❤️️
