I watched the Guatemalan La Llorona on Shudder (which wasn't very scary, but a good kind of slow burn movie that's more of a commentary on justice), and Class Action Park which was... a trip whew!
Tbh this weekend I'm going to find a decent d*wnl*ad for Mulan and watch that while I stay in my air conditioned home for the 3-day weekend. Oh and I'm excited for the next episode of Lovecraft County of course. Haven't had to wait weekly for a new episode of a show in a bit so it's a minor adjustment lol

Watched a few movies this week:
Winter's Bone: I kept putting off watching it because I thought it'd be too depressing, but it was really good! It's a very subtle film, and definitely bleak as hell, but kept me interested. It had some excellent performances from John Hawkes and Dale Dickey (who is underrated as hell), and JLaw was great - not at all surprised she took off after that role.
Point Break: This was a real contrast to Winter's Bone in like... every possible way. It's so much more OTT than I expected! A character named Johnny Utah?? Going undercover in a surf gang/burglary ring by picking up surfing in a week's time?? Anthony Kiedis?? Skydiving ( ... )
