Life is so incredibly cruel sometimes.

I've ben thinking about this all day, it's so, so sad. He had so much more to do, he was such an icon, even though he had just begun.

this has had me down all day. I just can't stop thinking how his diagnosis came right as BP filming was happening and how much that must have hurt him, to have to proceed with an incredible opportunity like BP while carrying likely the worst news of his life at the same time. I hope he was able to find true enjoyment during that time and I'm sad any of it had to be at all tainted for him. I hope he was able to rest knowing his family would be set and that he got to have an impact on the world

yeah idk if we have any details about this but I was wondering if maybe he got diagnosed during medical exams related to getting cast as Black Panther. Some people had mentioned in the last post that he probably had to undergo health exams for insurance purposes so I wonder if that's when they discovered it?

This is a deep dive into it and I've been thinking about this myself. I know movie stars undergo medical exams for insurance purposes so there's no way all of the movies he worked on from 2016 forward did not know that their star had a terminal illness. Studio heads, senior management and insurance advisors must have known, it couldn't have been that secret??? That just boggles my mind.

There is a video of Boseman talking about filming BP and having met two young Black boys with cancer at the time who were very excited for the movie, but unfortunately they both passed before it was finished. Watching that and his reaction knowing what we know now is devastating.

I still don’t want to believe it. How can he be taken away when he had so much more to give? Fuck cancer. I just don’t want to accept it.
