Wasn't Love My Way featured in CMBYN rather than PiP?

Oops, I'm thinking of Sixteen Candles! So many racist jokes, and then the geek has sex with some unconscious girl in that one.

uhmmm the song wasn't used in CMBYN.

and obviously he was fine with Hughes using it because they recorded a new version for the movie lmao.

plus, hughes didn't misinterpret anything. they used the title and the song for the movie after molly ringwald couldn't stop talking about the band. the film wasn't inspired by the song at all.

old age playing tricks on butler.

After CMBYN came out, pretty sure I listened to Love My Way at least twice a day for about three months. Lemme turn on it now!

im still confused why the relationship in cmbyn is seen as okk by a lot of ppl. :/

it makes gay men look predatory which is not ok.

i know having old ass armie hammer play the role didnt help shit, but it's still so gross.

That's totally real. I guess I was just expecting more from my community. People I know who describe those films you listed as you have surprised me when I saw some of them fall head over heals for it.

And I think the entire premise should have been a red flag, ya know. Once you hear their ages, it should have been a wrap.

from imdb: "In 1980s Italy, romance blossoms between a seventeen-year-old student and the older man hired as his father's research assistant."

The posts for the film here were always a mixed bag, even though the ppl that are normally defensive abt their 3000 yr old dad and 40 yr old mom are normally the exception.

and then on top of it, hammer is so huge and looks wayyy older than 24. It all just makes me sad bc I know we don't get aesthetically charming films abt our love, but damn.
