nah you right lol i tried to think of one but i think it would only work if the cyrano didn't actually like the person they were writing letters to and then it wouldn't really be a cyrano situation? or i guess if the other person would have or actually does like the other person already it would be more palatable? or if they knew the whole time that the other person was the one writing the letters the whole time bc then the lying part would cancel out? idk anyway it's a problematic trope in general i should probably say that lmao
