By the order of the Peaky fuckin‘ Bloinders, The BBC produced television show now has its very own video game! It's about time manipulation! I haven't watched all of it yet (I'm on season 2), but I don't remember Tommy controlling time like Zack Morris. It looks like a steampunky game that was 70% done when the developers decided to slap some IP on ( Read more... )

It's not worth it, tbh. The first season is sort of melancholy/interesting, but it buys into its own hype shortly after that and just becomes a dumb shoot 'em up.

Like the first bit seems to challenge/question the glamor of these kinds of gangs... and then the show goes, "Actually no we decided it's pretty cool after all."

Yeah I binged it all recently and the first two seasons' focus on Arthur reconciling his demons with his chosen line of work were so goddamn compelling. But then it just turned into a shoot em up and they dropped that story.

Will the game also have poorly written female characters?

According to the gameplay, each character has special skills. Ada's special skill is she talks to people as a distraction so her pals can sneak by

So yes

I think you mean "tough" and "gritty" and "sassy" and "sometimes with accents".

Arthur Shelby is the ultimate Mary Sue. He can beat anyone up even though he's a little guy, all the women he meet want to sleep with him and he is always on the right side of history when it comes to racial issues.

I still love the show.

Arthur is the brother of Cillian's character Tommy. I'm assuming OP meant Tommy is a Mary Sue?
