Pretty sure Silence of the Lambs women Best Picture. It’s considered the first horror/psychological thriller to win

From what I can tell, this list includes points where OP agrees with the pick.

I could be wrong tbh, but since it ended with Parasite that's what I assumed.

Re: Emma Thompson and Sense & Sensibility -- it's true. That she somehow made both of those relationships work in the end is a miracle.

I love Sense & Sensibility so much. It's my rainy day movie. Emma worked magic with that screenplay.

I agree about Schindler's List, Titanic, Chicago, and Parasite. I could go whatever with the rest lol.

who framed roger rabbit is honestly one of the greatest movies of all time, i quote it all the time and i consider the reveal one of the most horrifying movie moments ever. and i love horror movies, but none come close to creeping me out as much as THAT

ia 100%!! that and the shoe in the acid were traumatizing tbh lol

that movie is such a clever work of art start to finish. I legit can't believe it's by Disney, even in the good era of disney

IDG the newfound hate for Chicago just bc the director also made Cats and Les Mis.

Also Grand Budapest Hotel is the only Wes Anderson movie I like.

Rob Marshall directed Chicago.

why the FUCK did I think this was Tom Hooper lmao
also Bing helpfully told me that Rob Marshall is the same height as Ryan Coogler!

I loved Into the Woods and Nine

They're both very generic white men with no real signature style?

Tom Hooper is definitely on his way out unless he manages to direct something good in the next five years, though.
