Same. I’ve always avoided it yet it comes back to bite me in the ass. It’s inevitable tbh. I have to do it for calculus in my school. Halp LoL.

I am beyond horrible when it comes to math, it gives me such anxiety. I can't imagine what I'd be like if I had to learn it the common core way.

My sister is hiring me to help with my niece, but it'll mostly be with art and making sure she stays on track. Let's hope I can do kindergarten level work!

I'm the same way. I realize the reason I got so much anxiety over math was bc I was always scared to get the wrong answer or I got the wrong answer and didn't know how to get the correct answer.

Weirdly enough I feel like I got better at math in college. But I wouldn't say I'm great at math now, I just understand it better now.

I think a reason I have such anxiety over math was because in grade school we would do these 3 to 5 minute math sheets where you had to do as many multiplication or division problems within that time limit as you could. So now I feel like I have to do any math problem really quickly. It was torture!

I thought common core was really dumb until I sat down and looked at it and realized it's exactly how my brain always did math. However, if you brain doesn't work that way I bet it's super confusing and frustrating.

I love English Lit sfm. Lowkey nervous about taking English 2 but I’m still confident tho like whatevs I’ll be fine bc I’m studying Japanese alongside two computer science classes. So doing English will be a breeze. Having math classes this fall semester though would be a whole different story... I’d fail to concentrate all these subjects at once bc yknow, math takes a long time to figure one thing out lmao. Particularly Calculus..... whew!

I'm mid twenties and still haven't taken a calculus class ever. I did college algebra and statistics though. Both of which were hell.
