I actually like her design a lot but fuck them for being homophobic.

I thought the couple from "Hometown" would be similar but I have seen at least two LGBT couples on their show so far so good on them.

They're a good example of being religious but not racist/homophobic. I've seen all sorts of people on their show; Black, Latino, Asian, Lesbians, Gay, Old, Young....they don't care. They try to make the houses unique for each person, and Ben always makes something special for the house.

Yeah, Ben has said before his dad was a 'baptist preacher' so I was waiting for it but they seem to stay in their lane as far as that is concerned and not be shitty.

One thing I noticed while watching was that they also seem to actually have POC that work with them and aren't afraid to have them on camera, v. all the whites these people have in Texas.

I can't stand these creepy people but they helped a friend of mine start a business (they gave them start up money) when their family farm went under and so I feel slightly bad shit talking their bland conservative christian patriarchy bullshit. Though they deserve it for that.

They had a really interesting convo with Emmanuel Acho. You could tell Joanna got it but Chip was struggling.

That being said, i won’t be tuning in. Their aesthetic is boring af and they’re impact on Waco isn’t necessarily positive.

open concept only works if it was originally designed that way. forcing an older home to be open concept just doesn't flow.
