I didn’t expect to see this posted here. I’m so disappointed in them. I’m 21 and they we’re such a huge part of senior year/ being 17 for me. I remember seeing them twice after I graduating high school. Max, their guitarist put me and a friend on the last for one of their shows for ATL and we talked after the show and ate some cookies that i made for them as a thank you. I met 2 of the other guys (everyone but Joey) and they were all so nice and easy to talk to. They made a point of talking about how women are assaulted at rock shows too often and how they would stop a show if they saw it happening. They fired their manager for flirting with (adult) fans on IG and at shows. I really thought they were good guys. I feel so bad for Lydia and I’m glad she didn’t have to finish the last tour with them early last year.

the entire music industry is fucking AWFUL to women and girls, and i think in indie scenes it can be worse because they face even less public scrutiny.

i didn't know about lydia or the regrettes, but i look forward to getting to know their music and supporting their career. it takes a lot of strength to publicly call out an abuser like this, especially at such a young age. i wish her all the healing and support.

Their music is great. Lydia wrote a song about Brett Kavanaugh around when the trials with Dr. Ford were on.

I don't listen to SWMRS but I enjoy Green Day. Shame - something about a 22 yr old holding a 16 yr old girl's hand secretly is so gross to me... He has to know what emotionally that means to a teenage girl. It was groom-y.

wow he sounds like a scumbag. good for lydia for speaking out, i hope shes healing from all this, the regrettes are a kickass band

I like a couple of The Regrettes songs that I’ve heard, I should listen to them more.

I think I’ve seen SWMRS open for someone else before. Had no idea Billy Joe’s son is in the band. Men suck. Especially when they try to act like they are actually good people.
