I just did a full rewatch of the series. Hoo boy, it really struggles later on, but I stand by my high school thoughts that the first couple of seasons are really fun soapy teen drama.

Season 1-3 were something special. As bad as the writing still was, it was a great teen drama.

I will say this every time OTH is brought up: this show is such shit. The writing, the acting... It's awful. I could give a million examples of how it is a shit stain on the underwear of life.

BJL and Sophia Bush deserved better.

I've been wanting to rewatch this for a while and this will give me the perfect reason to do it. I can't stand CMM but One Tree Hill was such an integral part of my high school experience so, it has to be done.

i'm not even at clean teens yet. s1 is alreayd so bad for slut shaming. i don't remember realising this, even though i was 19 at the time. i am watching it now, mid 30s and just.......wow. i am just into s2. it's been so long since i've watched it straight through.

I was so obsessed with this show as a kid/teen. Never rewatch a show from your youth though, because when I tried it just made me want to die from second hand embarrassment. I thought the show was so deep back then. 😭😂

Sounds like fun! I'd love to hear them react to the cringy bad acting, especially Hilarie (God love her). Speaking of Hilarie, I bought her book on Audible and it's so GOOD! She has such a great voice.
