Oliver on the OC was frustrating because I remember he made Ryan look so crazy even though he was right

I loved when sandy trusted Ryan and was like “I’ll drive” instead of just brushing him off

As a teen I ate up the Oliver story line thought it was so good pretty sure when I rewatched it later in life it wasn’t as amazing as I remembered I think I probably just thought Oliver was hot at the time

I was going to say that Oliver was so annoying, I hated his story line so much! It seemed to be a recurring theme for the first 3 seasons too. Marissa would befriend a dangerous and unstable man, Ryan would show his concern and then practically no one would listen to Ryan.

Sandy is definitely in the top five of TV dads.

Oliver was a top tier gaslighter (way before that word was invented). His effing face needs to be put next to the definition of that word.

Watching the 10 episodes he was in made me go crazy.

I’m so sorry for this “well, actually” but I can’t keep it in. The use of “gaslight” has been around since a 1930’s play (and 1940s movie) of the same name where a villain uses gaslights as part of a plot to convince his wife she’s going crazy. It’s been used for years in psychotherapy.

We’ve just started using it more again recently to best describe the political hellscape we live in.

Was he on Season 1 of The OC? I've seen every season but missed parts of S1 which is the best season of course lol.
