Speaking of Candace Bergen, I rewatched Miss Congeniality tonight and holy shit that did not age well!!! It’s basically workplace sexual assault/harassment the entire time, with some homophobia and copaganda sprinkled in. It is shocking through the 2020 lens.

Although I will always appreciate that they took the time to actually teach a 5-min self-defense course in the middle of a movie that was marketed to and viewed widely by girls and young women.

I only watch it bc of the ML eye candy and Sandra Bullock as a tomboy is refreshing to finally see in a movie. Her performances always carry the crappy movies she’s in lol
