As a transracial adoptee I’m so wary of white adoptive parents at this point even though she hasn’t said anything wrong, I just see so many of us have issues due to our adoptions and it breaks my heart

Can someone explain how she was able to adopt two 18-year-olds? Aren't they considered legal adults at that point?
