I mean he’s not wrong. But I’m way past the point of waiting to be represented in certain things like I find it more offensive if you had to be bullied into acting like you care about me and people who look like me (this also goes for current events lol)

This is how I feel. I know it will make zero difference because people fucking worship Marvel and other big franchises, but I've basically stopped supporting anything that doesn't do baseline, minimal rep from the start. I have less to watch, but genuinely feel happier than getting angry every time another largely white and straight movie comes out, lol.

Black Panther is the best and Winter soldier is still in my top 3, but there are people who say that Civil war is the best Marvel movie? It's definitely not the worst, but I've never seen it being called the best.

Maybe Disney can make Black Widow a limited series, charge about 5 or 10 dollars every week for like 5 weeks or do some sort of super bowl global premiere of the film where ABC and other networks in different countries play the movie at the same time with commercials, lol, people will be MAD!

they're definitely not done filming, i think they flew to europe to film and got forced right back home a week later at the most at the start of march

Mackie is usually...not great when talking about race but I actually understand what he means here. Black people--and other people of color!--should not just be relegated to roles in the Black film. Obviously, that representation is incredible important in a movie about Black people, but there is no reason why Black people and other POC should not have producer/director/stunt choreo roles in productions with a white lead--which is like 97 percent of productions lol.
