Whew. The hate she's already getting. This is gonna be a long month.

And I can see by the post below mine that this post will be full of hate as well.

No, a lot of it is HATE from people not even from Africa. Just chiming in to put her down. Go look outside of ONTD.

Hell, even here most people don't even really *get* the African vs Black American issue. Yet, are quick to chime in on this issue.

if she was really about that life she would have financed this project herself (she has the coins)

making an afro-centric project even tho Disney+ is not available in any of the 50+ countries in africa.

in this project shes projecting africa as a monolith even tho african countries are extremely deverse like Ethiopia and habisha culture, mozambique, cape verde, ghana etc

shes nothing but a demon profiting for a culture that she doesnt even appreciate:

blk folks: instead of being spoon fed fragments of our identity through an appropriation echo-chamber we call the music industry, why dont we push the black capitalists who profit off our COLLECTIVE cultural expression and african aesthetics to be pro blk which is anti-capitalist https://t.co/QmIAwWcDgX

It's for the Gift. It's for everyone. Don't like that album? Bey says "suffer". I like that charts be damned she is sticking with her art.

oh, so it's not a new album? I guess it makes sense -- the visuals definitely vibe with The Gift, but wah, I want new music lol

This is also digging into the Africans vs black Americans talk that ONTD is NOT ready for. Not at all.

When I was working at AAA I used to go to this dude's house for a ride. He had a roommate from Africa. One night his roommate went on a rant about how black people were lazy, we just want handouts, his people come here and work hard, we just want welfare, Africans are educated, we're dumb, and how he hated us. He went on and on and on about how he hates that people think that we represent him.

That was my first dose of it. ONTD couldn't take that.

yeah, i grew up around west indians and plenty of them think they're better than american black people. there is no worldwide united blackness. it's complicated.
