“First of all, I don’t care what they feel. The #MeToo movement and movements like them have intentional ignorance pertaining to the history of particular white women - not all white women - but particular white women, who have from the very beginning, pertaining to the enslavement of African people, accused black males of sexual assault without any proof whatsoever, no proof, anywhere on the face of the Earth,”

Weren't most, or at least a lot, of her husband's victims black?

I’m being careful not to fall into the trap of lazily making a woman suffer for the deeds of an associated man, but I don’t see how people can still extol Phylicia Rashad after she unambiguously supported him against all these women.

I agree, like there’s usually factors in play as to why a woman may not be quick to speak up but phylicia had nothing to lose and all the respect to gain in condemning her rapist ex costar but she chose to loudly support him so fuck her forever.

I mean, I have my critiques of the #MeToo movement and how it's been taken up but it was founded by a Black woman, Tarana Burke.

And yes, white women have and continue to terrorize men of colour, particularly Black men, but it doesn't cancel out misogyny just as a man's misogyny doesn't cancel out the oppressions he faces.

There is some valid criticism about the #MeToo movement when it comes to race. Like, it still puts white women's voice and experience above WOC's.
And sure, there is a culture of white women victimizing black men. Absolutely.

But your ugly ass rapist husband got what he deserved. The end. Sit down, Camille. At your big age... 😒
