I’m not really jealous of the yacht but a friend of mine rented a nice place with a pool for the weekend and while I still am not comfortable hanging out with people yet, I am super jealous of the pool

BUT i’ve also been judging them for going out on hikes, camping, lake swimming and posting about it on social media when we had the stay-at-home order. i feel like they are irresponsible in a way and trust them less. idk its complicated.

I have so many friends who I’ve stopped trusting because they’ve been so reckless this whole time. The worst thing about it is how much they post on social media, during devastating global pandemics and global civil rights movements. Like you could be living your life, I’m not gonna hate you entirely for snapping and hanging out with a few friends, but posting about it on social media practically flaunting makes you a callous and bad person. It sucks learning people’s true colors :(

I recognized that my initial fuming at people posting about hanging out in groups in March/April was more about me being jealous. I was following the rules, they weren't, and I wish I wasn't.

I've been more relaxed lately. I've hung out in a group of 5, gone to the beach, went to brunch and had a sunday funday yesterday. It was refreshing.
