I had no idea she was offered something for Get Out and had to google why she declined. Damn I wish she stuck it out...but I get it, white people are demons I see why she was scared lol.

I’m mainly here to say you guys should all watch The Last OG. I love it so much and she’s so great in it

I just read the quote from her and I can get it:

_________"I was like, 'Aw man. Look, I don't do scary movies, dog,'" Haddish told Meyers. "'I don't do that. You know, that's demonized kind of stuff. I don't let that in my house.'"

Peele tried to tell Haddish the film didn't actually have demons in it, but she seemed to see things differently.

"'That's a white man trying to take people's souls out their body and opening up brains,'" Haddish said she told Peele. "'That sounds like some demon stuff to me.'" _____________

I don't agree, but especially with that last quote, I can kinda see where she's coming from.

As a religious person I wouldn’t say scary movies are the devil, like I enjoy thrillers and suspense and jump scares. But films that have strictly spiritual plot lines about hauntings and stuff? Nope. I’m a big believer that you could let that stuff into your home and your life.

Who would she have played in Get Out? The housekeeper/Grandma?!

edie June 20 2020, 17:52:58 UTC
probably or maybe erika alexander’s role but probably the grandma since she had such an aversion to it

I hope not the Grandma. The actress who played her still killed that role with like 5 minutes of screen time.
