I binged tf out of this show not long after it came out. I remember the book was super popular back when I worked at bookstore and now I'm wondering if I should read it.

Don’t-it’s worse than twilight. I gave up after they went to a monsters yoga retreat (is that in the television series?) which on its own is ridiculous but it’s also very badly written.

She means when Matthew took Diana to sexy, sensual yoga like three times in the first book. Like 99% of the series, it never wound up mattering in the grand scheme of things and went nowhere.

I think the second season will be better. It seems like the author wasn't able to EL James as much of this season as she did the first... and she's pretty salty about it.

i really wanna watch this show 'cause it sounds like my kind of cheesy, but i've been putting it off 'til they release S2 'cause i hate waiting.

The show is bad, I won't lie, but it's the kind of perfect guilty-pleasure bad that I really enjoyed. It's absolutely, without question, the author's Twilight fanfic but the show puts enough of its own spin on things to distract from that fact.

And Matthew Goode goes from gorgeous to haggard depending on lighting, but mostly gorgeous.
