The impression I got while working at A+E is that both Hearst and Disney wish they didn't own A+E lol

They probably like the money but they want nothing to do with management and hate hate hate if any A+E programming eclipses their stuff.

True story: in a company wide town hall at my office location (there are maybe 4 just in the US?) a guy asked “what does the roll out of Disney+ mean for our streaming model plans? Are they going to air A+E content on Disney +?” And the VP’s answer was just like ummm, Disney hasn’t said anything about that lol
