I remember when I brought up cop propaganda shows and an Ontder fought me on it. lol

Every single actor that makes a living in a cop propaganda show should donate!

you're right. every single cop show on tv whether it's comedy, reality, or drama is propaganda and when people say 'jake peralta would never do this!' it's working.

Much respect to the tick. Donating more than 90% of celebs that are still working.

I love crime procedurals, ever since I was a kid. It’s just what I prefer to watch on TV (but even some shows are too much, like Blue Bloods... that show is straight up propaganda. I mean they all are but they one is next level). Personally I’ve always treated them as completely fictional and not at all a representation of real police work or departments, such as they are. All these characters care about truth and justice and citizens or WHATEVER, when anyone who’s dealt with police knows that’s not the reality of the situation 99% of the time.

Anyways I think you can still watch those shows if you understand that this is like Marvel getting paid by the US military to make them look good - it’s all part of the messaging and very calculated image rehab. Though not sure how many eps of B99 it’s going to take to wash that shit down.

Blue bloods is...whew! I watched one episode and was ready to set something on fire. Straight propaganda!

Same. I think it was episode one, and they portrayed one of the cops as justified in shoving a man's head down a toilet to get information out of him? The whole show belongs in the trash.

I was SO FUCKING PISSED watching this on channel 11 yesterday. Afterwards they were saying they were getting flack for waving down the police and were whining "well they were about to loot! We were trying to help! If I see trouble I call the cops" That's the issue, Christine! You feel ok doing that. We don't. You see how they rushed and slammed the black lady to the wall!

They were really tryna defend themselves and making it worse, imo.
