"I want a doll I can take with me places to make me happy and not a person with feelings and ambitions of her own"

This is so many men too. It's ridiculous.

It's mostly oder men. Younger men, most of whom were raised by divorced, working mothers, for the most part don't have a problem with working women. She chose an older man, that's what she got, someone set in his ways. A stupid choice on her part.

If that's his team's attempt to make him look more sympathetic... he needs a better team.

I'm French and he'd get hate here if people actually cared to begin with. It might work in the 'elite' circles tho

a man being unable to handle his wife having goals, ambitions, and dreams of her own that she doesn't discard the moment she marries him? i'm shocked.

but seriously though, they've been married for five years, if these issues have been around from pretty much the get-go i'm surprised they lasted so long. i hope she thrives.

Yup. My brother in law is attracted to super ambitious women. He has been with a few amazing women and he's not good looking, doesn't have a good personality, and is a bum who mostly cares about getting the best weed so I legit don't get how he keeps getting these women. He tears them down and expects them to still make $$ because he's a fucking bum but to drop their social life to cater to him. It's very horrible to watch these women just shrink and my in laws just play right into his shit except for my husband. He will usually warn then at a certain point that we've seen this a million times so to run.

i know too many women who are in that type of situation and it's depressing af. honestly, it's shitty but a red flag for me is a guy who says he likes "strong women". if he truly means that, he shows it.

IME, "strong" usually means "you aren't going to ask me for money, are you?"

to be generous to him, I also like vacations and have known workaholics who cannot relax. However, I've been accused of being that myself for leaving vacation time to planned long weekends & my 3 weeks / year, and men really don't often understand women having drive.

Yeah, I agree on the vacations, I would be a bit bummed if my SO wouldn't spare 2-4 weeks a year (in my country the minimum is 20 days) for a vacation with me.

Absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for wanting a stay at home wife though. Fuck that.

My ex didn't like vacations so I would always spend 4/5 weeks a year going at it alone/with friends, lol
