Actually YG is famous for scheduling his artists' comeback around the same time as other big artists, usually one or two weeks after to make sure they win. Example with the 2014 mess between SNSD and 2ne1 where Snsd had to push back their comeback because of a technical problem with their MV and the new date was the same day as 2ne1's release. YG famously pushed back 2ne1's comeback to 2 weeks to 'match' CL's (2ne1's leader) birthday lmaooo

it TRULY fascinates me that they manage to maintain the popularity they do have with such little output. it would be NOTHING to give them 2 - 3 promotions a year and finish off the girl's solo songs but will YGE? NO! He hates women so much he'd rather keep them in the basement.
