for me, a lot of people aren't necessarily exposing themselves as assholes/out of touch (although some are), but they just come off as incredibly boring or vapid. the class divide is also wayyyy more prevalent now.

i think that's interesting, bc everything about hollywood has always been vapid and has always made the divide very clear. i've never found a celebrity relatable.

i would not survive. i wanted to be an actress, but i would grow to probably hate it if i was introduced to the stuff that happens and how you have to sell your soul a little.

uhm the influencers I follow are doing social distancing right and not one is talking about how bored they are in their mansions. A plus!

I don't normally watch Fallon but I watched one of his shows to see how it would be and not for me. It is a no on the Seth Meyers front as well. Colbert is hit and miss, I like the interviews and some parts of the monologue - he needs some interaction and you can tell. My fave late night has been Trevor Noah, he just works in that setting imo.

from celebs I just want some silly gossip to make this fun, idc about what. Just distract me please.

You can tell Fallon and Colbert are desperate for an audience. They feed off of that energy and they're not getting it alone in their living rooms.

Seth is still doing his same show, just from his attic, and it works. I can stand Corden or Trevor Noah, so I haven't been watching them.

I'm finding I don't miss celebs. I'm wondering what's going to happen when this is all over and celebs are out promoting their stuff again? I mean, will they be irrelevant by then or will people be so bored they'll latch onto anyone?

People are quick to forget - tale as old as time. They’ll be worshipping celebs once everything is back to (the new) normal. Sadly.

oh yeah I got lucky that most of the influencers I followed are not being assholes either, and a couple of them are actually making better content/posting better outfits in the absence of #spon.

Ana de Armas antics have made me not want to bother with any of her projects in the future.

haven't watched yet but i think its partially because younger/lesser known celebs came up on social media and know how to use it to their advantage--they're less affected because in many ways its business as usual for them in terms of how they develop content and honestly they're tapping into their creativity in ways big stars have never had to.

well-known, rich celebs--particularly those that are gen-x and above and have been famous for a while, have vast teams they rely on to make them look relatable, funny, down to earth, etc. and without those teams we realize how manufactured their public personas are. like even outside of daytime/late night hosts its clear who needs more coaching than others.
