No. That sponsorship was one of the shitty last moves their owners pulled on them before defy media sold them off to fandom and shut down operations a while later.

okay, serious talk (lol) is this movie really that bad? and why? i mean, amazing actors/singers i know the story of cats, i saw the musical a million years ago, but is it bad because of the cgi? costumes? singing constantly through out? why is it so bad?

It is horrendous. There's no plot to the musical and they couldn't even attempt to add one to the movie. It's literally a bunch of cats singing their name and gimmick at you over and over and over. The effects are both hilarious and nightmarish, the acting is terrible, the songs go on too long, and overall it's a MESS. Good drunk watch.

i saw the musical when i was an 11 year old brat swearing she was going to be an actress so lol @ me but okay, i get it. i only saw the trailer and wondered why so many hated it, other than the costumes and cgi, so thank you! i'll stay away from this one! how sad.

I think its the cgi that makes it so bad. Even if you don't know the story of Cats its still got some good music in it to enjoy but the cgi oh so terrifying. The weird cat/human hybrids just don't work, sometimes I couldn't tell if it was a choice to make their hands look like that or they forgot to cgi in the fur.

Plus some musicals just don't translate well into a movie.
