I've been doing at home workouts, watching quarantine concerts, and hugging my dog.

i... am working from home.

this quarantine is really showing how people waste their free time doing useless things.

also, I'm julianne moore. literally got into an argument over my $$$$$$$ oven last week because people don't know how to clean after use.

Yup. Next week, and for the foreseeable future I have to work full time and homeschool my kid so no fucking Netflix binges and needlework classes for me.

Lol @ vigorously cleaning pots

I’m loving all the inspiration, plz keep any and all suggestions coming! It’s slightly motivating me to try and do more- I’ve been quarantining for about a week but my brain convinces me i feel less safe the more I do so I end up feeling paralyzed all day. It’s how I’ve always been when I go through periods of high anxiety. I manage to shower regularly but I haven’t been taking good care of myself or really trying to do much besides put on movies and worry endlessly while I wait for the day to end. I need to try and do more in my space and reach out to people more.

Maybe call up family members and ask them for their fave recipes and put together a little family recipe book? Might be a cool Christmas gift idea.

I feel like a lot of people have an aunt that makes jam, an uncle that makes pickles, and a grandma with a fantastic lasagna recipe or something lol.

I know it's much easier said than done, but taking your mind off of it (especially if it's to do some physical activity, cook a healthy meal, or improve your space in a way that makes you feel better) is going to be a big help for you in the long run. On top of those activities being physically good for you, being less ramped up in your stress response keeps your immune system stronger. So you really are helping yourself by distracting yourself; it's one of the few things we can try to control right now.
