I told myself I would watch every movie nominated for BP (not during this quarantine that'd be insane, but like the next few years) and there's so much trash that has been nominated over the years that I've forced myself to sit through; the academy has no taste.

Didn't really like Beach Rats or Troop Zero.

Very much recommend Shoplifters, 20th Century Women, and Moonlight (are there still people out there that haven't seen it!?).

Watched Swallow the other day and I don't know what I expected from a movie called Swallow, but when she actually started swallowing shit I was shook.

I actually haven't seen either of the ones you didn't like yet - I just remembered a lot of people liking/recommending them in other posts.

I've heard such mixed things about Swallow!! Personally, I don't know if I could handle it.

We've been watching His Dark Materials this week - only have two episodes left to go. It's very much just okay, though I didn't love the books either, so idk how it translated for people who are big book fans.

Both Beach Rats and The Blackcoat's Daughter are on my personal to-watch list - hope to get to those this weekend.
