It's really our parents and immunocompromised friends we gotta be looking out for.

And I am. Constantly. My parents are those almost 70 “we don’t care nothings going to stop us living our lives” people and it’s just....not a good time.

So we finally got the go ahead to work from home in our office but it’s on a rolling three days on three days off basis in “teams of 2” but my sector of admin is the “teams of 2” thing meanwhile the other admin teams...just stay there the whole time. We’re told that when we’re in office to stay as far away from each other even tho we all share the kitchen/toilets etc. We got the big “we don’t have to worry about getting really sick it’s the compromised/old people etc” dismissive shit even tho it’s becoming more and more apparent that young and otherwise “healthy” people are getting very very sick too.

Oh and guess which ~*inessential*~ staff get to work from home full time. Upper management.

It's still pretty chilly in Wisconsin so the few times I have gone outside and come back in I have sniffles solely because of temperature changes but I always think "this is it, I've caught the COVID"

My roommate also has said "corvid" instead of "COVID" a couple of times and honestly, accurate. (corvidae is the family name for birds like crows and magpies)
