Germany is effectively on a general lockdown now. Life is going to be weird for the next few weeks.

I've got the worst hayfever at the moment and my paranoid arse is like "wHaT iF YOU have CaRonA?!?!" every hour even though I haven't been anywhere to get it. ugh.

Fucking same! I feel like my hay fever is just a year round thing the last few years. I’ve been sneezing and coughing and getting a runny nose for days and today I have a sore throat and I KNOW it’s hay fever because it gets slightly better if I take a Zyrtec, but I’m still stressing way in the back of my head like “What if it’s noooot...?”

Scared the crap out of an old lady I walked past yesterday when I coughed (into my sleeve) and then cleared my throat. Never seen someon recoil so fast - and I was a good four feet away from her.

100% climate change has made my hay fever so much worse. That weird monsoonal thing we had in February has confused all the plants. But every time they list all the symptoms it's like I subconsciously think "oh... I have all of them" and then the rational part takes to long to chime in with "but you haven't been anywhere you hermit dumbass"

I didn’t think about climate change but that makes sense. In Adelaide we’ve had a really weird humid summer (usually super dry and very hot) and a lot of wind. The CBD is already full of parks and I live really close to one of the biggest ones.

they finally closed all public and private schools statewide for us until mid-April.

our cases went from 8 to 18 in the last 24 hours, with a lot of them in my city.

I try to tell my mom about preventative things to do and she just laughs and tells me to relax when both my parents and my brother are in high-risk groups. between that and absolutely pandemonium at a sparse AF grocery store last night, the ~vibes~ are terrible right now.
