A part of me is like "yeah Princess and the Frog movie!", but another part knows that just like Mulan, it'll be made by a very white crew and Tiana was a frog for 80% of the movie so meh.

I really, really hope they change that aspect of it. Make it more like the traditional story and have her human most if not all of the time.

There have been sooooo many live action PP movies what even is the point anymore like WHAT can even be done differently at this point I don’t wanna sound like an old man yelling at a cloud but in my day we had every tween girl with a MySpace COVERED in pictures of Jeremy Sumpter and we had the lil secret gay boys like myself believing in fairies too smfh ENOUGH

I remembering being in the right age range when that dropped, and i was so creeped out at how they shot those kids. all the long, lingering close ups with soft focus and back light. i just remember it bugging me in the theater cause there are so many creepers out there.

Sumpter was a very pretty boy, I will give you that.

I feel the same way tho tbh.

Like, Hook and the 2003 film are weirdly kinda perfect (especially when viewed back-to-back). Also, I just read the book (unsurprisingly, it can be misogynistic) and rewatched the silent film and '53 Disney film (+ the sequel), which all have their moments. But... why ANOTHER PP??? I admit, I like the story, but there are aspects of it that are outdated. The 2015 Joe Wright film was so... terrible I don't even remember it. The frequent casting of cute white blue-eyed boys for Peter is so predictable.

That being said, I honestly can't wait to go see Benh Zeitlin's WENDY which by far looks the most unique out of all the Pan adaptations and I'm sure it will deliver. I read an interview with him recently in IndieWire and he noted all the problems the original story has, which I appreciate.

Peter Pan (2003) is the only live-action Peter Pan I need.

Jeremy Sumpter's is the best. Its gorgeous and really quite emotional. Great mUSICaL score too and acting was on point.

i still listen to that soundtrack on occasion. “fairy dance” is perfection and i still get chills listening to “flying” because i can picture wendy stepping out into the snow covered ledge contemplating and the parents rushing back to find the nursery empty and peter’s smile when the drums and synth kick in WHEW it’s so good i’m still mad it didn’t get an oscar nom.

Flying is beautiful.

My sister had it as entrance music at her wedding (Asian wedding, so not like down the aisle of anything, but for the bride's family coming in).

Peter Pan? This will end up in D+ for sure.

From the comments I've read online the only live action movie people actually want is Hercules so just announce it already please.

I LOOOVE the soundtrack. I hope they choose wisely who gets to be the muses cause if they try to slip Ariana in thinking we won’t notice I’m gonna fight someone.
