That's awesome. Kudos to those 75 people for taking a stand.

Relatedly, I've been wanting to buy Catch and Kill for awhile and I still want to read it but I don't want to give money to Hatchette? Not sure what to do tbh.

Get it from the library. It's very likely they have a copy, I know it's had high circulation in the tiny system where I work.

Ok, English isn’t my first language so I asked bc I didn’t understand. Just repeating what it says on the post doesn’t help so thanks for nothing. I’m asking if they walked out of their jobs in protest or if it’s just symbolic

It was a protest, they left their jobs mid-day (afternoon) and 'walked out'. While they didn't quit, what they did is more than just symbolic because they stopped working and took to the streets. It's also a pretty brave thing to do in a dying industry (publishing), in the era of global social media. Their action sure made a statement though! It's amazing Hachette backed down from publishing the book, in large part thanks to this...
