Hard pass. I hated the books.

I hate the books and love the show. You should give it a try. It fixed a lot of the books' problems and manages to be endearingly campy/corny where the book was unbearably self-serious.

Very similar vibe. The show removes all of Matthew's gross elements and the books' truly absurd scenes like "vampire yoga". It still comes off as Twilight fanfic in places, though, and the CGI is... British.
