I know, I know, everyone's still enjoying the Parasite glow (as am I). But the award season is finally over (somehow a short one made it feel like forever?). Whatever.
After the poor predictions from last year (though Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Little Women, and Rocketman did win something, and The Irishman and Bombshell were at least nominated), let's hope that the acting nominees have a bit more... diversity to them. Though it may be the year of the musical and yes, musical biopics.

-- David Fincher's Mank starring Gary Oldman as "Citizen Kane" screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz
-- Ron Howard's Hillbilly Elegy seeing the return of Oscars' favorite bridesmaids Amy Adams and Glenn Close
-- Denis Villeneuve's Dune will probably be the big tech movie of the year, also starring Timothee Chalamet
-- Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch with its endless list of all-star and Oscar-nominated/winning cast
-- Aaron Sorkin's The Trial of the Chicago 7 starring Oscar winners Eddie Redmayne & Mark Rylance
-- Christopher Nolan's Tenet could be another big tech one (maybe even a great movie too), starring John David Washington
-- Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon starring Leonardo DiCaprio & Robert De Niro
-- The King Richard biopic about Serena & Venus, starring Will Smith
-- Guillermo del Toro's remaking of Nightmare Alley reuniting Carol stars Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, as well as Willem Dafoe, Ron Perlman and Richard Jenkins
