lmao jane lynch thats unnecessary hun
as someone whos half asian i feel like a lot of asians support andrew yang just because he's asian and the other half resent him because he aint shit and yet he's the candidate we get
also because he straight up thinks all asians will vote for him just cause hes asian. the daily show did a good segment on it

I didn't like Yang after that whole "calls for forgiveness" for that SNL guy who promptly got fired for those racist asian "jokes."

Shane specifically called Yang those racist terms. In this case, i think he had the right to choose how to navigate it. Though being Asian myself, idk if I could have forgiven him

There's a prominent progressive (or so I thought) asian activist I follow who all of a sudden is bandwagoning HARD for Andrew Yang despite them not actually agreeing on a lot of policies on paper. It's really disappointing. I mean I get it, I was sentient enough for Obama but I'm not sure if he had the best policies in the race or if they were more or less all the same.

In this case though Andrew Yang is really not great even relative to the other candidates and pretty transparently so.

I'm a little surprised at George Takei's endorsement. I still don't know what any of Pete's policies are besides not attempting anything that's too progressive.

This made me laugh today.

It’s not working. https://t.co/baT6iDksTF

I think the person who accused him said it wasn't true? I think that's why I refollowed him on twitter.

not really, but a headline proclaimed that he was a liar so ofc everyone in ontd and elsewhere went thank god, I liked him and decided that's what happened. this was the article: https://observer.com/2018/05/george-takei-accuser-scott-brunton-changed-his-story-of-drugs-assault/
this was the ontd post which changes tone drastically when the literate people start commenting: https://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/110967979.html
and this is what the accuser said later: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/claudiarosenbaum/george-takei-scott-brunton-observer#4ldqpgc
