Cold brew > hot coffee > iced coffee, which I don't usually order because it can be super bitter. The time of year doesn't really play a role in my choice.

What's the difference between cold brew and iced coffee? No ice cubes in the cold brew?

Iced coffee is just refreshing if I'm eating a hot breakfast, you know?

Some places use the terms interchangeably, but

Cold brew: the coffee is brewed in cold water over a long period of time (like overnight) to make a concentrate, then diluted and poured over ice

Iced coffee: pouring hot brewed coffee over ice, or cooling hot brewed coffee and then pouring it over ice

The cold brewing process makes the coffee taste better, imo. When a place says it's iced coffee but it's actually cold brew, that's fine, but I hate when it's actually just hot coffee poured over ice because it's often too bitter for me since I drink my coffee black.
