Safiya Nygaard of YouTube fame got secretly married to her long-term boyfriend, Tyler somethingorother. They tied the knot in November and she posted their wedding video today.

They had a unique wedding vibe inspired my medieval and Renaissance-y stuff. She had a second black wedding dress that she changed into for dancing at the reception.

It wasn't THAT secret. lol. Everyone knew that got married in the fall, and if you cared, you could figure out the exact weekend based on when Ben and Cristine went to LA.

But it was nice to see it all come together, after she'd been talking about aspects of her wedding for so long. Both of her dresses were lovely and her hair was gorgeous. The venue was perfect for them and it seems like they had a ceremony and day that was incredibly meaningful to them, surrounded by friends and family.

Lol right? And they've been posting wedding related videos for months!

Exactly. Certainly they posted enough wedding related stuff for me to get sick of the word "affianced".

I enjoyed all the videos, but secret it was not.

If anyone cares, Cristine posted a vlog about her trip to the wedding on her second channel. The highlight of that video was Cristine going to Safiya's house to do her wedding nails. Idk! Just moments of genuine friendship! It was nice.

My now-MIL and I went to one not long after Mr. Phoenix and I got engaged just to see what they were like, but it was pretty much a waste of our time, especially since Mr.'s family is local and MIL is pretty familiar with the best places to go for bridal stuff anyway. I'm sure they work for some people, but I'm like you, it was so overwhelming and forced and definitely not my thing.

I’ve only been to one bridal expo back when my aunt and uncle got married, which was awhile ago. I just remember it being some free samples but a ton of pushy sales folks trying to sell a bride literally everything, most stuff she doesn’t need just to drive up the cost of a wedding.
