I swear I will eventually catch up with this show, but I'm genuinely happy for the cast & crew for getting away from whatever the hell Syfy is doing.

Thanks to those people who encouraged me to keep watching this, I'm about halfway through S2 and thoroughly enjoying things (even more so now that [S2 spoiler if anyone is as far behind as me]Miller and his weird gross Julie fixation is dead lmao)

My hope for the future is for Amos to get some so I hope that's coming up in S3/S4 tbh

I would keep going, it's definitely got its flaws but I'm enjoying it it's easy to just burn through it all on Prime tbh, I feel like the world-building gets less tiresome and confusing towards the latter part of S1

For me it took 5 episodes to hook me but when it did I couldn't stop watching it, if you like SciFi definitely give it a try tbh

Ugh, I loved it so much! Amos remains my fave but everyone was great this season. Now I'm just waiting for more.

Such a good season. [Link to spoiler]That UN lady who wants to colonize is dumb and Chrisjen is 100% right to want to avoid going through The Ring and colonizing. The protomolecule is unpredictable and Earth/Mars would not be able to stop whatever the protomolecule decided to do. It backfired on New Earth and it'll backfire over and over again.

[Spoiler (click to open)] humans are stupid and hubris, so I'm not surprised there are those that look at Eros and Earth almost getting that treatment and going 'well, we stopped it once, we can totally do it again, let's go colonizing.'

[Link to spoiler] You are 100% right. It will be interesting to see how the colonizing backfires on Earth/Mars/The Belt in the upcoming seasons.

I haven’t watched any of this or really heard anything about this. ONTD: What’s it like? Should I watch it?

If you're into sci-fi that requires you to pay attention or else completely lose the plot (vs The Orville which is utterly braindead and only good for background noise), then I'd definitely recommend The Expanse. Plus, with S4's reviews I'm cautiously optimistic that there will be a S5, which is rare these days for a sci-fi series.

I do sometimes found it to be too serious; I like a bit of humor every now and again, but it doesn't bug me enough that I haven't thoroughly enjoy the series so far.

You can Google The Expanse on imdb for a description of the storyline.
