Barely escaping an avalanche during a family ski vacation in the Alps, a married couple is thrown into disarray as they are forced to reevaluate their lives and how they feel about each other.

Starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Ferrell, the film opens February 14, 2020. The film is a remake of the 2014 Swedish film “Force Majeure.”

I dig it. Force Majeure was good but by no means one of the best films of that year.

didn't love the dig about how it's been 8 months, as if grief is something that goes away and you should just get over it. but that's me and i've buried mine.

if the kids hadn't been there, i would have understood his leaving her. lmao. hey i said it rubbed me the wrong way. grief is fucking devastating.

but then the entire point of the original was that what we do in instinct can be quite different by what we do in practical thought. it also skewed masculinity but not nearly enough.

i don't need to spend another 90 minutes watching two people hashing out their bullshit only to get the happy ending because of the previous paragraph. I do wonder if Julia is going to genuinely have equal footing, you never know with remakes and hollywood, or is going to play an accessory to will ferrell who does that with a lot of his women costars.

The original was pretty good. This remake looks meh. I'm dead that they got Kristofer Hivju to make a cameo (I'm assuming it's a cameo) lol.
