Loved it overall!! Yes, there are things that could (and should) have been done better but I'm very pleased with it in general and I need them to confirm the third season already 🙏🙏

My favorite parts have been everything Ruth Wilson, the parallel introduction of the Parrys (Will is absolutely perfect <3) and the whole Lee/Iorek dynamic ❤❤❤

I'm enjoying it a lot. Ruth is a great Mrs Coulter and I like how much of Will we see already. Can't wait for Will and Lyra! My ship!

(and for Andrew Scott!)

the first episodes were a bit slow, but I think it is more fun now. Love Iorek! And I just know Roger will break my heart.

people need to stop giving beloved fantasy series to jack thorne to work on. his writing is embarrassing.

i was disappointed in the bear fight (WHERE? WAS? THE JAW????), but i begrudgingly understand why they did it. i wonder how they're going to handle [Spoiler (click to open)]will's fingers and all the bleeding next season, though.

ruth wilson has been SPECTACULAR, james mcavoy was really good at the end of last episode, dafne keen has been doing fine with she's given, will and his mother have been great...all i can hope for next season is that the budget and writing improve. and that the ratings are good enough that we get a season 3.

The bear fight was the biggest letdown! I came here to see Iorek eating a heart dammit. (and yes, it's a kid show and the fight is extremely violent, but I read the book as a nine year old and came out unscathed).

haha, i definitely didn't expect the heart-eating, but even the movie showed the jaw getting knocked off! instead we got weird background wrestling and a long-ass scene transition where i think we were supposed to wonder who won??? idk the editing is another big problem with the series.

the lack of daemons, the low budget, and the bad writing have all been disappointing :(

the actors have been what has saved it for me (ruth wilson is sf great!)
