i think it's in the first episode of the season or something where cole comes home drunk and makes her have sex on a truck and it's a little violent, noah is watching behind a tree and wants to intervene but she tells him not to and the way it's filmed we're supposed to think that she eventually enjoys it bc she's thinking about noah. it ain't cute.

Iirc, Allison coaxes Cole into rough sex, he even asks her "is this what you want" or whatever (and I think Ruth even said it was 100% consensual on Alison's part). Then the show has her have borderline nonconsensual sex with Noah so Sarah Treem is a fucking mess.

Eta: and I think Allison was alarmed while Noah watched, while Noah thought she was aroused by him watching? A MESS.

I'm watching it now. From Noah's POV, he walks away from her house because she starts to undress in front of him in the shower. He turns back when he hears a drunk Cole fighting with Allison. She tells him to get away from her, he's aggressive, grabs her by the neck and turns to bend her over the truck. You hear her protest a little bit, Noah steps forward, Allison makes eye contact with him and gives a nod to like back off, and then yeah, you see her smirk the slightest bit and they just continue making eye contact while Cole is behind her.

From Allison's POV, Cole is driven home by some girl and Allison is upset, they start to fight, Cole is not aggressive at all, they're discussing grief, he gets really tender with her. He wants to go inside to have sex but Allison slaps his hand and coaxes him into making it public and rough. And then she's surprised to see Noah watching but is definitely imagining Noah and not Cole.
