The majority of the cast of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker and other people affiliated with the franchise attended the premiere of Rise of Skywalker last night.
On here he is gonna get dragged lol-I'll bite to that one but social media---backflips and somersaults.
I get actors not wanting to watch their performances but "phobia" seems a bit ridiculous for an actor to some extent. And another user in this thread mentioned that they gave him the option of taking off his headphone when the soundbite would be played. He rejected it.
The same article that said the NPR staff offered for him to remove his headphones also called it a phobia - one that he’d discussed on air with Terry Gross before.
Honestly, no one should get publicly dragged for simply walking out on a phobia. Judging other people’s anxiety is not good. He’s a popular white dude with mega fans so he’s going to get defended more than his share, yes. And I’m sure people who don’t benefit from famous-white-dude privilege would be treated even shittier. But my goal is empathy across the board.
