That's cool that the ring is pretty affordable! Obviously 5k is a big amount of money, but many A listers rock rings in the hundreds of thousands, if not the millions. Kim K's stolen ring was valued at like 2, 4 million.

I think it depends on your job. I'm a nurse and if I was engaged/married, there is no way in hell I'd be wearing my nice ring to work where I wipe people's asses. Gloves are not impermeable and the ring could cut through the glove.

My friend's cousin's engagement ring has a pearl in the center, but it's not as in your face like Emma's and there are tiny diamond petals. It's very pretty and a cool alternative to a traditional diamond ring.

Yeah I like the idea of a pearl ring (partly because Anne got a pearl engagement ring from Gilbert in the AoGG book series and they were my couples goals as a child)... but not an entire round pearl just stuck on top like that.

What I like about my friend's relative's ring is that I believe the pearl was cut in half so it laid on the ring more reasonably. She had very simple pearl jewelry for her wedding too, it was very beautiful.
