I watched the 45 second clip of it on twitter and it felt like I'd watched three minutes of it, so I guess that's that. I will give him that this is creative and an interesting way to pull people into a new song with a full story, I always appreciate artists trying different and new things. His content just misses the mark of being compelling for me, I don't know what it is, there's just something real missing with all of his stuff.
Lol, yeah. I actually like his tone a lot and I would be up for a good song from him. Zayn and Harry were the only ones I enjoyed listening to on the rare tolerable 1d songs, but Harry's music feels so half-baked. There's an interesting premise but the lyrics and so much of the tune itself are so repetitive and I lose patience. Lights Up was already more entertaining than anything on his first album for me, here's hoping the rest are more like that than watermelon sugar which felt just like the first album.
not to be corny but it's just missing heart. like everything he puts out just feels like Harry Styles: The Brand not Harry Styles: Saying Something Real. any of the heart-felt emotions come from his fans projecting onto him rather than him actually saying something meaningful or impactful.
It’s dark and dreary and also inhabited by fishermen and townspeople who are notorious for never smiling. One day, a boy (Styles) is born with a bright smile, and is completely shunned for it by the islanders.
When she said resting bitch face, I knew I had seen enough. They shouldve never left one direction tbh, they should've Michelle'd zayns ass and brought someone new in.

But seriously, I feel the same way. He seems to have the germ of a good idea, but it never quite clicks
